The Razorback High School team had the privilege of being recognized by the Rockford Park District at their monthly Board Meeting last night for the State Championship season. Congrats.

My People!

That's a wrap! Our youth teams finished up their season this weekend. Although we didn't take home any trophies, Rockford held their own on Championship weekend.

- 7th-8th grade - This squad finished strong. After a rough start to the year, the 7th-8th graders improved all year. Wrapping up their season they won their first playoff game vs Lake County 7-5 and lost game 2, 5-2 vs. South Side Storm, to take home 3rd place. Looking forward to this team gettings stronger next year with the 6th graders moving up, and looking forward to seeing the 8th graders joining our HS program!

- 5th-6th grade - This team drew the number one seed and undefeated North Park team in round 1. They held their own and nearly won, losing 4-3 in the final seconds. They then came back to beat Barrington 2-0 with no rest between games. This team was just a couple of goals from winning it all. As Coach Thomas said "Razorbacks can play with anyone!" Quite a year.

- 3rd-4th grade - Unfortunately the small roster this year and early summer vacations took a toll and they were unable to participate in the playoffs this year. We look for this squad to continue to improve (and grow) and come back ready to go next year.

If anyone has a few photos of the weekend games, please email them over to RockfordLax@gmail.com and we can get them loaded up for the youth teams.
